London / Sofia – Sep 23, 2015 – Ipreo, a leading global provider of market intelligence, investor data and workflow solutions to capital markets and corporate investor relations professionals, announced its cooperation with ABIRD, the Bulgarian association for investor relations experts.
Under the arrangement, Ipreo and ABIRD will be offering best practice investor relations workshops to Bulgarian issuers, as well as fund flow analytics to market participants, with the goal of establishing best practice investor relations in the region. The first workshop will be held on September 23, 2015 in the lead up to the 2015 investor relations conference “IR Nowadays — In the Eye of the Tiger” which will take place in Sofia on September 25, 2015.
As part of the cooperation with ABIRD, Ipreo will also offer enhanced market intelligence and communication solutions to corporate investor relations, legal and supervisory board members at a discounted rate, allowing them access to valuable data and market feedback, which will help them to understand investor trends and the effects of recent governance trends. Through Ipreo’s systems, companies will also be able to identify new pools of foreign capital and start communicating with decision makers directly.
“As a leading global provider for investor relations services, the Emerging Markets regions are at our heart when it comes to establishing best practice IR,” said Andreas Posavac, Director Corporate Services for CEEMEA at Ipreo. “We have seen the investor landscape change significantly in recent years, similar to their investment behavior and governance profiles, which led to a significant change in requirements from corporate issuers. We recognise the need to deliver current information and workflow solutions to our corporate clients to help them identify and target the right international investors, understand market perception, and be able to proactively reach out to investors to make themselves visible.”
Posavac added, “The cooperation with ABIRD has the goal of establishing best practice IR in Bulgaria and allows us to introduce new and unique technologies that will not only enable issuers to more easily understand market reactions by their investors, but also allow them to actively target new investors globally, communicate with all stakeholders, analyse critical trends, and reduce governance risk at all times.”
“The collaboration with Ipreo will bring real benefits to our members. Ipreo’s deep understanding of the needs of investor relations teams is impressive. Combined with ABIRD’s vision to establish best practice investor relations, we see this cooperation as a first step to fulfilling our mission to help issuers become more visible in the fight for global capital and make Bulgaria more attractive for foreign investors,” said Daniela Peeva, Chairperson of ABIRD. “We’re delighted to have Ipreo as a partner to share their insight and to deliver these game-changing solutions to the financial community.
