Ipreo Global ECM Review: The Week Ended October 7, 2016

In U.S. economic news, the ISM Index for September read 51.5, ahead of August’s reading of 49.4 and above economists’ expectations of 50.4. In the U.K., industrial production realized an unexpected drop in August following a weak month of oil and gas extraction. Finally, Japan’s leading index grew to 101.2 in August from 100.0 in July, missing economists’ expectations of a 101.6 reading, but marking the highest reading since November 2015.
