Ipreo Global ECM Review: The Week Ended October 10, 2014

In U.S. economic news, wholesale inventories for August rose 0.7% following a 0.3% rise in the previous month, and surpassed economists’ estimates of a 0.3% gain. Meanwhile, export prices excluding agriculture fell 0.2% in September, as import prices excluding oil fell 0.1%. Elsewhere, German industrial production fell 4.0% in August, coming in well below economists’ expectations of a 1.5% decline and the prior-month’s 1.6% rise. Separately, China services PMI came in at 53.5 in September, down from 54.1 in August but still above the threshold for expansion.
