Ipreo Global ECM Review: The Week Ended March 13, 2015

In U.S. economic news, the MBA Mortgage Index for the week ended March 7 fell 1.3%, dropping from the prior week’s 0.1% gain. Meanwhile, February PPI dropped 0.5%, below consensus estimates of a 0.3% rise. Elsewhere, Eurozone investor confidence grew to 18.6 in March from February’s 12.4 reading, the highest level since August 2007, while the Bank of France lowered its growth forecasts for the first-quarter to 0.3% from the prior 0.4%. Separately, Japan’s industrial production grew 3.7% month-on-month in January, ahead of December’s 0.8% uptick, but missing economists’ expectations of a 4.0% gain.
