In U.S. economic news, November factory orders decreased 0.7%, missing forecasts, while falling at the same rate as October’s dip. Meanwhile, the European Monetary Union’s unemployment rate in November remained at 11.5%, meeting economists’ forecasts. Elsewhere, China’s consumer price index grew 1.5% year-over-year in December, above the previous 1.4% increase, and matching consensus estimates.
