Ipreo Global ECM Review: The Week Ended December 5, 2014

In U.S. economic news, Oct factory orders dropped by 0.7%, below expectations of a 0.2% uptick, as productivity growth was upwardly-revised to 2.3%, above the originally reported 2.0% gain. Elsewhere, the U.K. witnessed the Nov Markit Manufacturing PMI improve from a prior 53.2 reading in Oct, to a 53.5 result, topping consensus expectations of 53.0. Finally, Japan’s leading index dropped to 104.0 in Oct, down from a reading of 105.6 in the prior-month, and below economists’ expectations of 110.0.
