Ipreo Early Edition – The Week Ended November 21, 2014

The week before Thanksgiving brought 9 IPOs raising a total of $4.0B as issuers raced to hit the markets before investors fall victim to a tryptophan-induced daze. Last week was largely dominated by the Consumer Services sector, which welcomed five new market entrants for $644.7M, led by Cnova’s $187.6M offering. Elsewhere, there were two REIT debuts last week, bringing the yearly total to five ($3.4B), as CBS Outdoor Americas re-branded itself as OUTFRONT MEDIA, an advertising company, and is no longer considered a REIT. Of note is Paramount Group’s massive $2.6B debut, marking it the largest REIT IPO ever, surpassing the $1.4B raised by  Douglas Emmit Inc. in 2006.
