Building permits for March registered at 1,354,000, above estimates of 1,315,000, and the upwardly revised prior month’s reading of 1,321,000. The U.K. CPI grew 2.5% in March month, lower than both the consensus estimates of 2.7% growth. PPI Input in the U.K. for March fell 0.1%, lower than the consensus estimates of 0.5% growth, but higher than the upwardly revised prior month’s 0.4% fall. South Korea’s producer price inflation grew marginally in March, jumping 1.4% year-over-year, beating the 1.3% rise seen in February. Additionally, the price index for agricultural, forestry and marine products rose 3.8% year-over-year in March.
