Recently, Ipreo by IHS Markit’s Herb Werth, Managing Director, appeared on Trader TV to chat about the primary markets, particularly in relation to optimizing the trading processes within them.
Trader TV, hosted by Dan Barnes, the editor of bond trading magazine The DESK, produces monthly videos that offer insight into trading across US and European markets for professional investors. Last year, he interviewed Ipreo’s Bill Sherman about how trading desks can reduce trading costs for fixed income funds.
Earlier this year, Herb joined Dan for two videos. In the first, Challenges and Innovations in Primary Markets with Dan Barnes and Herb Werth, he to elucidates the challenges traders face in regards to the primary markets, specifically the difficulties involved with manually managing an unwieldy large volume of deals while simultaneously maintaining their other myriad responsibilities. The duo then discusses ways to improve the efficiency of receiving and consuming the mountains of information they receive every day.
In the second video, Primary Markets: Increasing Efficiency and Managing Operations Risk for Investors, Dan asks Herb how the entire investment team can benefit from the improvements in efficiency discussed in their first conversation. Herb explains how IHS Markit’s Buy Side platform helps streamline information, aggregate order details, and send electronic orders via integration with Investor Access
