Killer PCM Content

Back in September, the Ipreo Blog shared an infographic that had been designed by our Private Capital Markets (PCM) division. The campaign aimed to create more awareness for private capital markets and iLEVEL, Ipreo’s data collection and analytics platform that integrates with Excel and helps to reduce spreadsheet-related errors.

We’re pretty sure it succeeded, because not only has it been nominated as a finalist in the Killer Content Awards, it won Summit EMA’s Innovator award!

When it launched on September 9, 2015, the infographic generated an immediate response. It reached more than 1,000 viewers with information about the risks of using spreadsheets for portfolio management and the best practices that can minimize those risks.

Ipreo PCM’s “Risky Business” campaign used a data-rich, interactive format to communicate the risks of poor data-management practices among private capital firms. By curating existing news and research, and compiling the findings in a visually engaging infographic, Ipreo’s Private Capital Markets (PCM) division was able to effectively communicate the extent of the issue. Namely, that while nearly three out of four private capital firms use spreadsheets to collect and analyze portfolio company data, close to 90 percent of spreadsheets contain errors due to human error, material defects or defective formulas.

This January, the infographic – created in collaboration with DemandLab, a full-service marketing automation agency – was named as a finalist for the upcoming Killer Content Awards, the winner of which will be announced in February 2016. Finally, it was announced as the winner of the Summit International Awards (SIA) Summit Emerging Media Innovator Award, one of a handful of campaigns selected from among 1,300 entries submitted worldwide!

Quite the auspicious start to the new year for Ipreo PCM. And there’s plenty more to come!
